Okay guys, so we just had a session about what we want to change in IJB, and what our little group wanted to change is how much we challenge the rest of the organisation. So we have all these random thoughts about how to challenge the organisation and I really feel like sharing them with you.
So here is what we want to change:
- are we the only ones who should have the identity theme? Does all of CISV have a theme? If no, why not?
- why is everything in the rest of CISV so damn bureaucratic – it is a slow process and kills creativity
- why are we the only ones doing stuff outside the ordinary – outside the defined programs
- we have many intelligent documents, why aren’t the rest of CISV using them?
So how do we change it?
- we have to better examples and be better at showing off. Let’s not be afraid of leading just because we are younger.
- the connect team should not only promote our documents within JB but to the whole organisation. And while we are at it – what is the connect team for the whole organisation? Do we have one? Can they learn from our sucessful connect team?
- making AIM less about the planary and more about creativity – why don’t planary sit down and do what we just did?
- spending less time getting approval and using more time challenging the status quo.
